Job Description

We’re building a roster of go-to freelance WordPress developers for ongoing project work. This is not a full-time position, but an opportunity to collaborate on custom WordPress projects as needs arise. Ideal candidates are skilled in both back-end and front-end development, with a strong grasp of PHP, ACF, Gravity Forms, AJAX, and advanced JavaScript animation libraries like GSAP.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and functionality
• Build custom integrations using ACF, Gravity Forms, and REST APIs
• Create clean, modular PHP functions for reusable site components
• Ensure performance, compatibility, and responsive behavior across devices
• Debug and troubleshoot both front-end and back-end issues efficiently
• Bonus: Implement dynamic front-end features such as scroll-based animations, parallax effects, and interactive UI using JavaScript, AJAX, and GSAP

Requirements

• Proven experience in custom WordPress development
• Proficiency in PHP, WordPress functions, and custom theme development
• Strong knowledge of ACF, Gravity Forms, and AJAX-based interactions
• Confident working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including GSAP and ScrollTrigger)
• Familiarity with Git/version control workflows
• Ability to work within a repository environment — we use Bitbucket
• Ability to jump into an existing codebase and adapt quickly
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with remote collaboration
• Bonus: understanding of performance optimization and accessibility
